The Reince is History: John Kelly Sworn in as White House Chief of Staff

This morning, John Kelly was officially sworn in as the new White House Chief of Staff. Kelly is replacing Reince Priebus. Previously, Kelly served as the Secretary of Homeland Security, and was a well-respected general in the Marine Corps. Messaging about Priebus’ departure and Kelly’s appointment has centered on Kelly’s maturity and no-nonsense approach–it’s hoped that he can sort out the chaotic White House that has seen a lot of personnel shake-ups in recent weeks.

Of course, that chaos in the White House is being flatly denied by its leader. This morning, Trump tweeted:

Kelly has a very big job ahead of him. We’ll have to see if he’s up to the task.
